In Central Indiana, our warm and humid summers provide the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes to spread diseases easily and quickly; making it crucial to protect ourselves and loved ones during the mosquito season. Our program is designed to control the population of adult mosquitoes in your yard with multiple applications throughout the season.

Please note that your application schedule is subject to change. Our experience and expertise with Indiana seasons, weather, and conditions enable us to determine the best timing for each application.

Multiple Applications Mean Season-Long Control

At Lawn Pride, we have a secret weapon that works wonders for your yard and your family, and it doesn’t require DEET, citronella, or any gimmick. With Lawn Pride’s scientifically proven mosquito control program, our certified technician will apply a gentle mist in targeted areas to control the amount of adult mosquitoes, protecting you and your family from diseases such as Malaria Virus, West Nile Virus, Zika Virus, and many more. Best of all, this formula doesn’t affect beneficial bugs in your yard.

Just one application is often enough to see results, however, for the best results, our 5-application program will give even greater benefits throughout Indiana’s warm summer months when mosquitoes are at their worst.  Mosquitoes might be impossible to fully eliminate, but with Lawn Pride’s proven mosquito treatment, you’ll be sure to enjoy your time outside a lot more.

Understanding is Half The Battle

Mosquitoes develop in standing water or stagnant water. Common breeding places for mosquito larvae are small pools of water, and ditches, particularly if the water contains organic waste. Mosquitoes may develop in anything that holds water for more than 10 days, even gutters or tree cavities. Mosquitoes will lay eggs on the water’s surface or in places where water is likely to accumulate. The eggs can hatch in just three days or may wait until conditions are favorable such as when flooding occurs. The larvae mature into adult mosquitoes in as little as 9 to 11 days. One female mosquito can lay 100 to 200 eggs. The entire life cycle may be completed in as few as 11 days. If left untreated, you could be left with a serious, not to mention annoying, problem.

Mosquito Control Tips

The following practices have been shown to reduce mosquito populations to help you get back to enjoying your lawn.

  • Dispose of unused tin cans, old tires, tarps, boat covers, or any other artificial water containers.
  • Inspect flower pots and plant containers for standing water frequently, making sure to loosen soil regularly to ensure that water penetrates through the soil instead of forming a stagnant puddle where mosquitoes might breed.
  • Change the water in birdbaths weekly and be sure to drain small wading pools when they are not being used.
  • Keep gutters clean and check downspouts for clogged.
  • Fill in low lying swampy areas around your home that create stagnant pools or puddles.
  • Place tight covers over any containers where water is stored.
